Graduation 2025
Our graduation ceremony was a joyful celebration of the children’s learning, confidence, and growing connection to culture. Families gathered with pride as the children took to the stage and opened the event with a lively performance of Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes in both English and Dharawal language. Their enthusiasm shone through as they moved to the actions, demonstrating not only their coordination but also their developing understanding and respect for Dharawal culture.
The audience was then treated to a beautiful rendition of Kookaburra Sits in the Old Gum Tree, again performed in both English and Dharawal. Hearing the children sing in two languages filled the room with warmth, showcasing their ability to embrace new learning and celebrate the richness of the local language.
Adding a playful touch to the ceremony, the children continued with a spirited performance of Wash Your Face in Orange Juice, which had everyone smiling and tapping along. This was followed by the ever-popular Wombat Stew, delivered with great humour and energy.
Overall, the graduation ceremony was a wonderful reflection of the children’s growth—academically, socially, and culturally. It was a memorable way to honour their achievements. We would like to wish all of the graduating children all the best of luck for their next big step of their learning journey.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of the parents and families for their positive feedback about the day. Your support, encouragement, and enthusiasm mean so much to us and helped make the ceremony a truly special and memorable occasion for the children.
