Ditto's Keep Safe Adventure Show

On Monday, 13th October, we participated in the Ditto’s Keep Safe Adventure Program. Ditto visited the centre to teach the children about personal safety and how to recognise unsafe situations.

The children learnt about:

  • My Safety Team – a group of trusted adults they can go to if they ever feel unsafe or unsure

  • The right to feel safe – it’s okay to say no if something doesn’t feel right

  • Warning signs – recognising feelings of being unsafe or unsure

  • Public and private places – understanding the difference between them

  • Private parts – they belong to you; no one should look at, touch, or take photos of your private parts

  • Secrets – if something doesn’t feel right, it’s important to tell someone

  • Sam’s S.M.A.R.T. Cyber Safety Rules – staying safe online

The children were engaged and enjoyed learning these important safety messages in a fun and interactive way! We also received positive feedback from parents about the program and plan to continue participating in it each year.
